Not long ago did the world lose an amazing artist to old age. Ansel Adams has been one of my favorite photographers for as long as I have appreciated photography. His ability to take a scene and make it art still dumbfounds me.
In 1936, Ansel shot a photo from Inspiration Point in Yosemite National Park that many people now associate with the very idea of the park. Entitled "Yosemite Valley from Inspiration Point," Ansel captured the valley during a clearing in winter while everything was still blanketed in snow. (If Starbucks is your thing, you may have seen this picture hanging on the wall in any number of their stores.)
So, in short, Ansel Adams rocks and I shot a photo that vaguely resembles it.
